All Liftmaster products are designed for any outdoor environment with clear voice communication and immunity to power spikes. Liftmaster products work the same way as "wired" telephone entry keypads, only without hard wiring. Typical range is 1000ft with longer ranges using the Oracle PHNRPT repeater. The Liftmaster GAPLM works with VOIP and Cable Telephone Systems using the wireless telephone Interface Unit (OTIU).
