The Zareba G550 Single Opener / G552 Dual Opener is designed for
residential gates within the weight and height specifications of:
Max length of 14 ft. or
Max weight of 450 lbs.
The Zareba G550/G552 is very affordable solar operator, great for
gates with some length. Use the G450/G452 in a single home residential
situation enclosed by gates made of:

Zareba gate openers are designed to be easy to install for the
average handyman. Every unit comes standard with everything needed to
automate your gate, including most hardware. They have incorporated
extreme temperature bearings, seals and grease, as well as adding a
weather seal to the case and UV inhibiters to the plastic on our
actuators. They have leveraged some of the best features that were
originally developed in the hospital actuator industry: smooth, quiet,
reliable operation. Numerous customers have commented on the difference
of how the G450/G452 sounds compared to the other like priced and rated
openers. Anyone with experience in gear drives knows that noise is an
indicator of quality and efficiency. Noise comes from sloppy tolerances
and mismatched gears, which then wear more quickly.
All Zarebas are in the USA. Each unit is subjected to extended
testing to ensure that they will provide years of trouble-free operation
for our customers. Zareba has tested the G450/G452 to over 90,000 cycles
in Minnesota winters (-16°F) and summers (97°F) without failure.
The Zareba G450
Single Opener / G452 Dual Opener is a low voltage system, eliminating
the need to run 110 AC to your gate. Simply run 16-gauge two-conductor
stranded low voltage to a household outlet within 1000’ of the operator.
Once at the outlet simply attached your wire to the provided plug-in
transformer. You could also power your G450/G452 with a solar panel. It
can also be used for either push or pull to open (push to open means the
opener is still mounted on the inside of the property but the openers
pushes the gate out away from the property). The optional push to open
bracket is needed for push to open operation.
Zareba subjects its gate operators to numerous high pressure water
tests, including water spray and splash tests defined in UL 325–the
safety standard for gate openers. They have never had a failure due to
water or dust contamination on production-assembled units. Numerous
other safety tests were conducted in order to pass UL 325. The test
report is available for review by contacting Zareba. Zareba leverages
its 60 years of ruggedized electronics design expertise to create
products that will withstand severe environments that include water and
dust. With this in mind they have incorporated magnetic-based sensors
for our start/stop limit encoders. Our magnetic sensors are impervious
to dust and water, unlike optical sensors which can become inoperative
due to water and, particularly dust.

Product Features
Opening/Closing Soft Stop – Opening/Closing Soft
Stop is a feature in which the control board learns the motor
revolutions between the start and stop of the gate. Then during normal
operation the gate operator automatically slows the motion of the gate
to smoothly meet with the gates destination point.
All Weather Compatible - This arm can handle the
cold, heat and everything in between. The housing is a and weather
tested.
Adjustable Auto close – The gate can either stay
open like a garage door or automatically close after a pre-set period of
time.
Solar Capability – Not within a power source of
1000' feet no problem, add a 12V solar panel to charge the battery.

Control Box Housing – The Zareba G450/G452 oversized box can
house 2) 7 amp/hour batteries are rated for outdoor use and are
resistant to high winds, sand, dust, rain, snow, sleet, and freezing
water; protecting your valuable control board from the elements and your
